    ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈರುತ್ಯ ಮುಂಗಾರು ನಿಗದಿಗಿಂತ ಒಂದು ವಾರ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಡಲಿದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರಕವಾದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ಮಳೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ .
    ಕರಾವಳಿ, ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ‌ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಒಂದು ವಾರ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾದ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಗಳಿವೆ‌ ಎಂದು ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
    ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ಮೇ 28ರ ವರೆಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಪೂರ್ವ ಅರಬೀ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಗೋವಾ-ಕೊಂಕಣ ಭಾಗದ ಕರಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಯುಭಾರ ಕುಸಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಡ ಕವಿದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಇರಲಿದ್ದು, ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳಿವೆ
    ಅರಬ್ಬಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಿರುವ ವಾಯುಭಾರ ಕುಸಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೇಲ್ಮೈ ಸುಳಿಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಕೊಡಗು, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ, ಉಡುಪಿ, ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಗಳಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೆಡ್ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
    ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ, ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಹಾವೇರಿ, ಹಾಸನ, ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ಕೆಲವೆಡೆ ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳಿದ್ದು ಆರೆಂಜ್ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
    ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವೆಡೆ ಭಾರಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಲ್ಲೋ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಮಳೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
