ಮೇ 12ರಂದು ಚಿನ್ನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಯಲ್‌ ಚಾಲೆಂಜರ್ಸ್‌ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಡೆಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾಪಿಟಲ್ಸ್‌ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆದ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಅವರು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಪಂದ್ಯ ನಡುವೆ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಊಟ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದರು. ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಆಂಬುಲೆನ್ಸ್‌ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದ ವೈದ್ಯರು ಫುಡ್‌ ಪಾಯಿಸನ್‌ ಆಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು.
ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಹದಗೆಡಲು ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಆಹಾರವೇ ಕಾರಣ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಕೆಎಸ್ಸಿಎ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
