ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲುಷಿತಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಆಹಾರ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಇವರಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, 137 ಮಂದಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೇತರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ನಗರದ ಖಾಸಗಿ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್‌ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಶಕ್ತಿನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆ.5 ರಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ ಆಹಾರ ಕಲುಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದ್ದು, ನಿನ್ನೆ ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹಲವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಂತಿ, ತಲೆ ಸುತ್ತುವಿಕೆ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನಿನ್ನೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥಗೊಂಡು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾದರು.
ಈ ನಡುವೆ ಹಲವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಭೀರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ತೀವ್ರ ನಿಗಾ ಘಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಕಮಿಷನರ್‌ ಎನ್‌.ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್‌, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಉಪವಿಭಾಗ ಎಸಿಪಿ ರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಒಂದು ತಂಡ ದುರ್ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್‌ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ.
ಎಜೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (A.J Hospital) 52, ಕೆಎಂಸಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (KMC Hospital) 18, ಯುನಿಟಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (Unity Hospitals)14, ಸಿಟಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (City Hospital) 8, ಮಂಗಳ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (Mangala hospital) 3, ಫಾದರ್‌ ಮುಲ್ಲರ್‌ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (Father Muller Hospital) 42 ಮಂದಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಬಹುತೇಕ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೇತರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ನಿನ್ನೆ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗಿನಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥಗೊಂಡ ವಿಷಯ ಗೌಪ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ವಾಟ್ಸಪ್ ಗ್ರೂಪ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷಯ ಹರಿದಾಡಿದೆ. ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪೋಷಕರು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಕೆಲವರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ನೋವು, ಭೇದಿ, ವಾಂತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
