    ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲ ಥಾವರಚಂದ್ ಗೆಹ್ಲೋಟ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇದೀಗ ಗುಂಡು ನಿರೋಧಕ ಕಾರು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಅವರ ಭದ್ರತೆಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರ ನಡುವೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಲವು ಪೂರ್ವ ನಿಯೋಜಿತ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ಇದು ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರಿಗೆ ಇದೀಗ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಕರೆಗಳು ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿಯಾಗಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಗುಪ್ತ ದಳ ನೀಡಿದೆ ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
    ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ನಿವೇಶನ ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಹಗರಣದ ಕುರಿತು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಬೆನ್ನಲೇ ರಾಜ್ಯದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ನಾಯಕರು ಪ್ರಚೋದನಕಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರ ಭದ್ರತೆಯ ಆತಂಕ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.
    ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ತೆರಳುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಬಿಸಿತಟ್ಟುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆ ಎಂಬ‌ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಗುಪ್ತಚರ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ಭದ್ರತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಬುಲೆಟ್ ಪ್ರೂಫ್ ಕಾರು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಬಳಿಕ ಬುಲೆಟ್ ಪ್ರೂಫ್ ಕಾರನ್ನೇ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
