2 ಎ ಅಡಿ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಕೊಡಿಸಿದರೆ ತಮಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕಿಲೋ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಕುಂದ ನೀಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು.ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯ್ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳ ನಂತರ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿದ್ದು, 2ಎ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆಗ ನೀವು ಒಂದು ಜತೆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಬಳೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಡಿ ಎಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ್ಕರ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ನಿರಾಣಿ ನೆನಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪಂಚಮಸಾಲಿ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾಳಜಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. 2ಎ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡಲು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಿಂದೇಟು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನಾಯಕರು ಹರಿಹಾಯ್ದಿದ್ದರು ಈಗ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಒಂದೂವರೆ ವರ್ಷವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಭೆ ಕೂಡ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
