ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ರಾಯಗಡದಲ್ಲಿ 72 ವರ್ಷದ ಪುರುಷನನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕೆಯ ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ಖೈರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ನಂಬಿಸಿ ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದಾಗ ಖೈರ್ ತಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆಭರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಉಡುಗೊರೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಾಪಾಸ್ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಆರೋಪಿ ಖೈರ್ ಅನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದಳು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಖೈರ್ ಅವರ ಮೊದಲ ಪತ್ನಿ 2012 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧನರಾದರು ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅನುಮತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಮರುಮದುವೆಯಾದರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, 2021 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಎರಡನೇ ಪತ್ನಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್‌ನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ದೂರ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ ಖೈರ್ ಪುನಃ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ೭೨ ವರ್ಷದ ಇವರನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿದ ಆರೋಪಿ ಆನಂತರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದಳು. ಆನಂತರ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ನಡುವಿಂದ ಜಗಳ ಖೈರ್ ಅವರ ಹತ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
