    ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಬಂಗಾಳದ ಕೊಲ್ಕತ್ತಾ, ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ದೇಶದ ವಿವಿಧ ಕಡೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ವರದಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನ ಕೆಲವು ಕಡೆ ಕಿಡಿಗೇಡಿಗಳು ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ತೆರಳುವ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡುವ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಯತ್ನಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ವರದಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಅಂತವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀವ್ರ ನಿಗಾ ಇರಿಸುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ತೊಂದರೆಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕುವ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ತುರ್ತಾಗಿ ದಾವಿಸುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ನಗರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಚಾರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲು ಜಂಟಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಅನುಚೇತ್ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಸಂಚಾರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿರಬೇಕಾದ ಈ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತುರ್ತು ಕರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅಗತ್ಯವಶ್ಯದ ಕಡೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ
