    ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಒಂದು ಅವಧಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಅವಧಿಗೆ ಡಿಕೆ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆ ಗ್ರಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಂಸದ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಸುರೇಶ್ ಇದೀಗ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಅವಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಚ್ಯುತಿ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರೇ ಐದು ವರ್ಷ ಸಿಎಂ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ ಕೂಡ ಇದನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ” ಎಂದರು.
    ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆಗುವ ಆಸೆ ಇರಬಹುದು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಯಕರೇ. ಆದರೆ, ಖಾಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಪೈಪೋಟಿ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಸೂಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲ ಶಾಸಕರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ ಕೂಡ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
    ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಅಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಹುನ್ನಾರ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾರೂ ತಲೆಕೆಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾವ ಅನುಮಾನವೂ ಬೇಡ” ಎಂದರು.
    ರಾಜಕಾರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊಂದಲ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದೇ ಕೆಲವರು ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಗೊಂದಲಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಅವರ ಆಸೆ. ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಸಿಎಂ ಸ್ಥಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ಸ್ವಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರಿಗೆ ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಕುಟುಕಿದರು.
