ಸಚಿವ ದಾರಾ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಚೌಹಾಣ್ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿ , ನಾಳೆ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ 9.30ರಿಂದ 10ರವರೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೈಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಜೈಲು ಆಡಳಿತವು ಪ್ರಯಾಗ್ರಾಜ್ನ ಸಂಗಮದಿಂದ 75 ಜೈಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಜಲವನ್ನು ತರಲು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಏಳು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾರಾಗೃಹಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 75 ಜೈಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ 90 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೈದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಾರಾಗೃಹ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಚಿವರ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಾರಾಗೃಹಗಳ ಮಹಾನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ (ಡಿಜಿ) ಪಿವಿ ರಾಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂಗಮದಿಂದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ನೀರನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೈಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಲಾಗುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ನೀರಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಸಿ ಜೈಲು ಆವರಣದೊಳಗಿನ ಸಣ್ಣ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ನಂತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈದಿಗಳು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು
