ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು,ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಕೆರೆಗೋಡು ಹನುಮಧ್ವಜ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಿರುವ ವಿವಾದದ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶಾಂತಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಲು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ದೇಶದ ಕಾನೂನಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಗೌರವ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಅನೇಕ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಠೇವಣಿ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ಜತೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಂಡ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನೆಲೆ ಕಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇಂತಹ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಆಪಾದಿಸಿದರು.
ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೊದಲು ಭಾರತೀಯರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದಲಿತ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ ಸಮಿತಿ, ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕರು ನಾವು ಬಾವುಟ ಹಾಕುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಮ್ಮ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳಲ್ಲವೇ? ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶಾಂತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
