ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 21: ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳಿಗೆ 6 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕ ಪಡೆದರೆ 4 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಹಾಗೂ ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕ ಗೆದ್ದರೆ 3 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಈ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
1958 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾದ ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಗೋವಿಂದರಾಜ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ನನ್ನ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡಕ್ಕೆ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಇಡೀ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಆಂಧ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇರಳ ರಾಜ್ಯದಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸ್ವಂತ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಗುರಿಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಛಲವಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮವರು ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಪದಕ ಗೆಲ್ಲಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಪಟುಗಳು ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಗೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆಂಬ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ. ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅವಶ್ಯಕ. ಗುರಿಸಾಧನೆಯೇ ಜೀವನದ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
