    ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅನುಭವಿ ನಾಯಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಎಸ್ ಎಂ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನಂತರ ಒಂದು ಪೂರ್ಣಾವಧಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲೆಯ 14 ಬಜೆಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂಡಿಸಿರುವ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ರೈತರ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಅರಿಯಬೇಕಿತ್ತು.ಆದರೆ ಹೀಗಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಿಷಾದಿಸಿದರು.
    ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮಧ್ಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ,ಸದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಗಾಲ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಮುಂದಾದರೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಇದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ವಿಜಯೇಂದ್ರ ರೈತರು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ನೆರವಿನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಸಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

    ಹಿಂದಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ರೈತ ನಾಯಕ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ನವರು ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿತ್ತೂರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯು ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ದಿಂದ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಸೌಧವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ಅದರ ಸದುಪಯೋಗವಾಗಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
    ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ರಿಂದ 80 ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಭತ್ತ, 40 ರಿಂದ 5೦ ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ಜೋಳ,10 ಲಕ್ಷ ಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್ ಟನ್ ತೊಗರಿ, ಕಬ್ಬು,ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ರೈತರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಲ್ಲವು ಬರಗಾದಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬೆಲೆ ನಾಶವಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಅಭಾವದಿಂದ ಬೋರ್ ವೆಲ್ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸಲಾಗದೆ ತೊಂದರೆಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದರು.
