ಭಾರತದ ಖಾಸಗಿ ವಿಮಾನಯಾನ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಆಗ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜೆಟ್ ಏರ್ವೇಸ್ (Jet Airways) ಕಂಪನಿ ಸ್ಥಗಿತವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಕಳೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ಪುನಶ್ಚೇತನ ಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳೂ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿವೆ. ಇದರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಆ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮಾಲೀಕ ನರೇಶ್ ಗೋಯಲ್ ಅವರು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡ ಅನೇಕ ಆರೋಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಳೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನರೇಶ್ ಗೋಯಲ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕೆನರಾ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸುಮಾರು 538 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ದಾವೆ ಹೂಡಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನರೇಶ್ ಗೋಯಲ್ ಅವರು ‘ನನಗೆ ಇನ್ನೇನೂ ಆಶಾಭಾವನೆ ಉಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಡಿ’ ಎಂದು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಕಣ್ಣೀರಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
