ಉಪನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಫಾನ್(23) ತನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿ, 13 ವರ್ಷದ ಸಹೋದರ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೆಳತಿಯನ್ನು ಭೀಕರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅಫಾನ್ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೂ ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ಆಕೆ ಬದುಕುಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ
ತನ್ನವರನ್ನೇ ಭೀಕರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಯುವಕ ಅಫಾನ್, ಬಳಿಕ ಸ್ವತಃ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ತಪ್ಪೊಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅಫಾನ್ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಬೆಚ್ಚಿಬಿದ್ದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು, ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ದೌಡಾಯಿಸಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ ಒಟ್ಟು ಮೂರು ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಶವಗಳು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿವೆ. ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕ ದಾಳಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗಿ ನರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಫಾನ್ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ತಿರುವನಂತಪುರಂನ ಉಪನಗರವಾದ ಅಫಾನ್ ವೆಂಜರಮೂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಆರೋಪಿ ಅಫಾನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
