ಈ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸುಲು ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೊಡಿಸುವ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಯುವಕ ಯುವತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಲ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು “ನಾವೇ ಸಾಲವನ್ನು ಕಂತು ಕಂತಾಗಿ ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ನಂಬಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ನಂತರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಂತಹ ಅಗತ್ಯ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಆದರೆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ತನ್ನ ಖಾತೆಗೆ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಆಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಲವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸದೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಲದ ಕೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ದೂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
