ಸಿಐಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹಲವು ಕಡೆ ಏಕಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಅಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ 40 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮ್ಯೂಲ್ ಅಕೌಂಟ್ಗಳನ್ನ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಂಚನೆಯ ದಂಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದ 13 ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಅಮಾಯಕ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಪ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಹಣ ನೀಡಿ ಅವರ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಖಾತೆ, ಎಟಿಎಂ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಸೈಬರ್ ವಂಚಕರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂಬುದು ಸಿಐಡಿ ತನಿಖೆ ವೇಳೆ ಬಯಲಾಗಿದೆ.
