    ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮಾರಾಟ ಗ್ಯಾಂಗ್ ​ವಿದವೆಯರನ್ನೇ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು​ ಮಗು ಇದ್ದು ಪತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸುವ ನೆಪ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಹುಕ್ಕೇರಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸುಲ್ತಾನಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅರ್ಚನಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಾಜು ಜೊತೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿತ್ತು.
    ಅರ್ಚನಾ ಅವರ ಮೊದಲ ದಾಂಪತ್ಯದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಗಂಡು ಮಗು ಜನಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಗಂಡು ಮಗು ಅರ್ಚನಾ ಅವರ ಬಳಿ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ಮಗು ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

    ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹುಕ್ಕೇರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು, ಮೂವರನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಉಳಿದವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
    ವಾರದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದೇ ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗೀತಾ ಎಂಬುವರ ಮಗು ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಗೀತಾ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಕೂಡ ಎರಡನೇ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಮೊದಲ ಮಗುವನ್ನು 4 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ.ಗೆ ಮಾರಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಕ್ಕೇರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ನಾಲ್ವರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
