ಶಿರಹಟ್ಟಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಕೊಡಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ(ಪಿಡಿಒ)ಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಂದ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಪಡೆದು ವಂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮುಂಡರಗಿ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಶಿರಹಟ್ಟಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ರಣತೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯ್ತಿ ಪಿಡಿಒ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂಜಯ್ ಚಡವಾಳ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಶಿರಹಟ್ಟಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂಜಯ್ ಅವರು ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ಅವರ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆ, ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರ ಒಡನಾಟ ಕಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೂಲಕ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ನಂಬಿ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ವೇಳೆ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗೆ ಡೀಲ್‌ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಜಯ್ ಒಂದು ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಹಣವನ್ನು ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಆದರೆ, ಶಿರಹಟ್ಟಿ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಕೊಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ವಿಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅದಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸಂಜಯ್ ಹಣ ವಾಪಸ್‌ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ಬೆನ್ನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಆದರೆ, ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ದಿನ ದೂಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದರು. ಈ ನಡುವೆ, ಗೋವಿಂದ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 8ರಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ತಮ್ಮ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದು ಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಸಂಜಯ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಣ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸಂಜಯ್ ಅವರು ಒಂದೆರಡು ದಿನ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದರೆ ಅಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ಮಠದಿಂದಲೇ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಸಂಜಯ್ ಅವರು ಹಾಲಶ್ರೀ ಚಾಲಕನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು ಆಗ ಚಾಲಕ ಹಿರೇಹಡಗಲಿ ಮಠದಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರಿನತ್ತ ತೆರಳಿ ಆಗಿತ್ತು.

ಸಂಜಯ್ ಚವಡಾಳ ಶಿರಹಟ್ಟಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ ಗ್ರಾಮದವರು. ಎಸ್ ಸಿ (ಮಾದಿಗ) ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದವರು. ಎಸ್ ಸಿ ಮೀಸಲು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಲು ಸಂಜಯ್ ಅರುಂಧತಿ ಫೌಂಡೇಷನ್ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ಲೋಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
