ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಾ.13- ಬಡ ಜನರ ಹಸಿವು ನೀಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕೇಂದ್ರ,ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಹನುಮಂತನಗರದ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ನಗರದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಬಳಿ ಸೇರಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಧೋರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಳೆದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬಡ ಜನರ ಹಸಿವು ನೀಗಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದ 14 ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಹಾಗೂ 16 ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯ ನೇತೃತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ರಾಮಲಿಂಗಾರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಅವರು ಬಡ ಕೂಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಹಸಿವು ನೀಗಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಜನವಿರೋಧಿ ಧೋರಣೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿದರು.
