ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಒತ್ತುವರಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ತಡೆಯಲು ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದು,ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಉಪಗ್ರಹ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ರವಾನೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ರೂಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಈಶ್ವರ ಬಿ ಖಂಡ್ರೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅಕ್ಷಾಂಶ ಮತ್ತು ರೇಖಾಂಶದ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಜಿಯೋ ರೆಫರೆನ್ಸ್ ಮೂಲಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಗಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಈ ದತ್ತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ದೂರಸಂವೇದಿ ಅನ್ವಯಿಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರ (KSRSAC)ಗೆ ನೀಡಿ, ಮರಗಳ ಕಡಿತಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂ ಒತ್ತುವರಿಯ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸಕಾಲಿಕ (ಕಾಲಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ) ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಆದಷ್ಟು ಶೀಘ್ರ ರೂಪಿಸಲು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
